Brandt was selected by The BECK Group to install plumbing, piping and sheetmetal for the shell and core portion of construction in this 900,000 SF building, that includes a parking garage, office and retail space, and a central plant. The entire project consisted of three separate bid packages: (1) Shell and Core, (2) Parking Garage, (3) Interior Finish Out.
Brandt installed the plumbing and mechanical systems for RadioShack's corporate headquarters. The Headquarters is made up of four large buildings and a large parking garage. The four large buildings are primarily office buildings from 6-7 stories in height. One of these buildings is a large common area with everything from dining facilities, fitness areas and broadcast rooms for shooting TV commercials. The parking garage includes a very large central plant with over 3500 tons of scheduled cooling.
The schedule was both difficult and challenging due to its large scope, the difficult separation of bid packages and that in most areas, there is an underfloor air distribution system.
This $21,000,000 mechanical project received LEED Silver certification and was completed in December 2004. RadioShack's Corporate Riverfront Campus was the first LEED building in Fort Worth.
