 Brandt was selected to complete the installation of the HVAC Piping within the Second "A2" Fabrication Facility at the Samsung semiconductor plant in Austin. Systems provided by Brandt include chilled water, steam/condensate lines, heating water, water spray, and instrument air. Brandt will install and pipe 213 owner furnished dry cooling coils. Also, Brandt will make piping connections to twenty-six (26) owner furnished air handlers and five (5) make-up air units.
Brandt will tackle the challenges of performing this work in less than 6 months by employing over 150 craftsmen, working extended shifts. Extensive coordination with other trades is required as well as the logistics of material staging. Brandt has utilized the capabilities of our in-house fabrication shop to pre-fabricate piping spools to expedite installation, while minimizing our crew size in the field. The Samsung site has plans for additional FAB plants that will require much of the engineering and installation that Brandt has available in the Austin market.
