 IN 2006, Brandt completed the installation of the mechanical and plumbing systems for The Center for the Intrepid, a four-story, 65,000 square-foot facility adjacent to Brooke Army Medical Center. The center will provide traumatic amputee patients, burn patients requiring advanced rehabilitation and those requiring limb salvage efforts with techniques and training to help them regain their ability to live and work productively.
The project was particularly challenging to due the aggressive schedule. Brandt was instrumental in keeping construction on schedule with the use of our engineering design-build team. Brandt's contract included the installation of HVAC piping, chillers, chilled water pumps, air compressors, heating for pool areas, heating for whirlpool water, air handling units, galvanized sheet metal ductwork, dehumidification units, and exhaust systems.
